Marketing Without Follow-Up is Just Hype

hype video image final

You know, marketing without the follow-up is just hype.

What I mean by marketing without the follow-up is just hype is you see ads, really cool ads, particularly Super Bowl ads, and it doesn’t DO anything. It’s all hype.

And one of the things that we encourage when we talk to business owners and companies about their marketing is “what’s the next step?”

That’s why we love marketing automation. What is the next step?

You see a Facebook ad; are you just going to leave that or do you want to click? And once they click, what are you trying to get them to do? What’s that CTA? What’s that Call-to-Action?

We measure all those things. We’ve got to follow up on those. So are they filling out the forms? And then, if they’re not filling out the forms, are you following up with that with maybe a retargeted ad?

So when they go to Yahoo! or something like that, they see your ad again. Or they go back to Facebook and they see the next ad. And then from there, is there another follow-up?

Or if they fill out the information, do you have a system or a drip, a marketing automation, or follow up with them?

Because again you spend all the marketing dollars, you get raves about it, you get maybe even awards for it, but all that’s just hype without the follow-up. Without the sale.

Again, marketing without the follow-up is just hype. And if you don’t measure it, you don’t follow up, you wasted all those marketing dollars.

Until we see each other online, be successful and stay social.
